By the time Sarah was in her late thirties, she was dealing with hair loss because of a combination of stress and damaging hair care products.

she was making ten dollars a day,and wanted to expand her work but her husband thought other wise, and then thats when they seperated

why would madam c j walker name her child "walker" if a'liela wasnt charles j walker daughter...

......Walker did not listen to her doctors' warnings that her fast-paced life was hurting her health. On May 25, 1919, when she was fifty-one years old, she died of hypertension (high blood pressure). Her funeral service was held in Mother Zion African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in New York City. Celebrated African American educator Mary McLeod Bethune (1875–1955) delivered the eulogy (a tribute), and Walker was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx. Her daughter, Lelia, took over her role as president of the Madame C. J. Walker Manufacturing Company........

"I am a woman who came from the cotton fields of the South. From there I was promoted to the washtub. From there I was promoted to the cook kitchen. And from there I promoted myself into the business of manufacturing hair goods and preparations. I have built my own factory on my own ground" - Madame Walker

"If I have accomplished anything in life, it is because I have been willing to work hard. I never yet started anything doubtingly, and I have always believed in keeping at things with a vim. There is no royal flower-strewn road to success, and if there is, I have not found it, for what success I have obtained is the result of many sleepless nights and real hard work."

what the quote means to me is madam c j walker is a very hard working women.
she sounded as if,she didnt brag about gettin to the top,she simply explained that it was hard work getting to "RAGS TO RICHES".

a Persuasive Thesis Statement on madam c j walker:

admiring "sarah breedlove" madam c j walker great acomplishments

Even though there were hair products out already, niether of them worked well in the growth of hair for african american females., i think that madam c j walker was a great individual in history and she acomplished a lot as a african american women in the 1900's became the first african american female millionaire, she left behind a theatre built called the walker theatre. with out the extra help madam c j walker has put in in her years african american hair products wouldnt work as well.

topic selection

i choose madam c j walker for my NHD Project because I am interested in the many great things she accomplished in her time period. This person is important to history because without their efforts, there probably wouldnt have been any hair care products for black women today. For this week's research, I found an article at the official site of madam c j walker. I will read and summarize it for next week.

3rd annotation

this website stated where sarah breedlove was born December 23, 1867, in Delta, Louisiana. was a orphan in 1867,but madam c j walker was also a hard woker from the age of 14.
and the rest is just information on her life.

i can use this as great information on my essay.
